When Home Care?
The population of America's seniors continues to grow, and many are
reaching an old age after full lives. At a certain point, some of us will
need help with the activities of the daily living. Warning signs that help
is necessary are
- Confusion, depression, apathy and forgetfulness
- Safety issues such as falling
- Dehydration, poor nutrition
- Lack of personal hygiene, incontinence
- Wandering, sun downing
- Not taking medications
- Disorientation to time and place
Home care is often the first choice since
families prefer to keep their parents or loved ones at home and
because it results in less emotional distress to the senior and
helps maximize their quality of life. Help with the activities of
the daily living can be provided through a family member or, if you
aren't able to provide assistance as it is needed, through a
professional non-medical in-home care agency like American Swiss. Our caregivers give our elderly clients professional care,
companionship and one-on-one human contact to reduce isolation and
loneliness.
An American Swiss care manager will visit the elderly
and his or her family for a free in-home assessment to discuss
personal needs and wishes. This assessment serves as a basis for the
seniors personalized care plan and ensures that the caregiver can
properly address his or her physical, social and emotional needs. A
convenient way to get started is to complete our online
in-home care
assessment form. Once all the parties involved agree on the fees and
terms, we will devise a customized care plan and propose 2 to 3
caregivers by bringing them to your home for an interview and asking
you to participate in the selection process. After a caregiver has
been selected for your loved one, our care manager will
follow-up with personal, unannounced home visits and phone calls to
ensure that the quality of care meets your expectations. Of course,
you can always contact us if you have questions or concerns. We can
be reached 24/7 365 days.
We provide well trained and experienced
certified nurse assistants (CNA), home health assistants (HHA) and
caregivers for a wide variety of care-giving needs. Our caregivers
are all bonded, insured, background-checked and trained in first
aid/CPR and emergency response.

We use the latest technologies to provide you
with the best customer service experience using a telephone
timekeeping software. Our caregivers call our electronic billing
system through a toll free number using the senior's home phone at
the beginning and ending of each shift. The software automatically
verifies that our caregiver is calling from the client's location
and records the time, date, caregiver and client information for
accurate billing. This system takes away the hassles of time sheets
signing and eliminates calculations errors. It will also
automatically alert us if our caregiver has not checked in at the
scheduled time enabling us to take immediate corrective actions.
